Hasini Manda is the founder of Crafted for a Cause, a youth-led nonprofit born from a simple idea: turning creativity into kindness. What began as a small effort, making and selling handmade crafts to support local charities, has grown into a 501(c)(3) organization empowering students to use their talents to make a real difference in their communities.
Under Hasini’s leadership, Crafted for a Cause expanded its mission through an EdTech initiative, DiscoverTech, which provides free STEM programs taught by volunteers to underserved communities, partnering with local communities and libraries. Hasini believes that meaningful service doesn’t have to be grand. It just needs heart, teamwork, and the courage to start something that matters.
