Crafted for a Cause is an international 501(c)(3) youth-led nonprofit dedicated to advancing educational equity through drives, fundraisers, and educational programs. Founded in 2024 by high school student Hasini Manda, the organization began with a simple idea by using handcrafted jewelry and creative fundraisers to support local charities and under-resourced youth.
As the organization grew, its mission evolved to address deeper gaps in educational access. Crafted for a Cause now focuses on expanding equitable access to STEM learning opportunities, especially for students who are underrepresented or lack resources. Through its EdTech initiative, DiscoverTech, students explore STEM topics like coding, math, biology, planetary science, and more.
By bridging art, technology, and service, Crafted for a Cause empowers young people to learn, give back, and create change in their communities. Our student leaders and volunteers are proving that youth-driven initiatives can play a powerful role in closing educational gaps.
Crafted for a Cause is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 33-2254097). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
What We Do!
Crafted For A Cause offers numerous STEM programs taught by our talented student leaders. By offering courses that are both accessible and hands-on, we aim to bridge the gap between curiosity and opportunity for students who may not otherwise have access to quality STEM education! Our programs are designed to teach concepts and further critical thinking skills in youth. Through student-led classes, students connect with mentors who foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. We aim to build a community where every student is empowered to explore their future in STEM.
Crafted For A Cause also hosts creative fundraisers to support education. From bake sales and handmade goods to student-led art initiatives, these fundraisers transform creativity into impact by supporting our educational programs and outreach efforts. They provide an opportunity for students to express themselves, collaborate with friends, and contribute to a larger cause, all while developing entrepreneurial and leadership skills! These initiatives not only raise essential resources but also foster a strong sense of community and shared responsibility!
Book and school supply drives are another core part of our mission, helping ensure students have the basic tools they need to succeed. Through the dedication of our team and branches, we have donated over 1,500+ items internationally, reaching students across multiple regions. These drives not only provide essential resources like books, pencils, and learning materials but also create an impact by supporting educational equity on a global scale. Each contribution, no matter how small, helps empower a student and brings us one step closer to achieving our mission!
